Board of Directors

A CSA Board of Directors is elected by the membership to oversee the organization and provide guidance and future vision. All members of the Board of Directors must be current student leaders from within the CSA membership. Working from a Strategic Framework that is approved annually by the membership, the CSA Board oversees the regular operational activities of the full time staff (Secretariat) through the General Manager/CEO.

The CSA Board of Directors bring important postsecondary issues to the membership for their input through provincial and regional conferences where advocacy, direction and recommendations are voted upon by the membership.  This is how the membership has a voice in the guidance and direction of the Board and Secretariat to carry out on behalf of over 70% of Ontario’s college and college-university students.

Representing the membership, the Secretariat carries out a wide range of activities including: Advocacy, Research and Policy Development, Leadership Success, Policy Analysis, Governance Training, Best Practice Methods, Member Support Services, Provincial and Regional Conferences.

  • Brian Costantini

    President

    Student Administrative Council

    Niagara College, Welland, ON

Brian Costantini is a graduate of Brock University where he received a Business Administration Honours Degree – Concentration in International Business. While at Brock he was heavily involved in the Business Ambassadors Club and was a co-founder of the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Madness University Basketball Tournaments, which then evolved into many other charity events. Brian continued his education at Niagara College where he obtained a Computer Engineering Diploma. During this time, he got involved with student council and served one year as Vice President of Programming where he was responsible for all student events and excursions. This is when he was first exposed to CSA, attending his first conference in October of 2009, and he realized then that he wanted to be involved with this organization as long as he was involved with student government. Brian then ran for student council President in 2010, and was successfully elected into his position by the Student Administrative Council’s board of directors. As president, he was able to become more involved with CSA and joined the communications committee in the fall of 2010. Enjoying his time on the committee, he was ready to take the next step and Brian took a chance and ran for president of the CSA and was successfully elected in 2011. Going forward, he is ready to take on all challenges and feels that he has the experience needed to properly represent students from across the province, while helping CSA grow as an organization.
