Message from the President

June 11, 2018

To our Membership,

It is an incredible honour to have been elected into the position of College Student Alliance (CSA) President for the 18/19 year. CSA is an organization that has become very close to my heart during my time with my student association; I have been involved in student leadership for the past 3 years as a volunteer, director, and vice president of Conestoga Students Inc.

I am a current student in the International Business Management program specializing in Human Resources at Conestoga College. This program has taught me a lot about working with others, budgets, and effective management. I strive to utilize these skills throughout my term with CSA.

During my time as a student leader I have found a passion for environmental sustainability, open educational resources, and advocacy. I look forward to working with the membership and other stakeholders to expand on our advocacy efforts and research priorities.

As president, my priorities are to work with members on strengthening engagement and furthering the reputation of CSA as a premier advocacy group that looks out for the best interest of college students. Our members are the backbone of our organization, and I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you better to support you in your needs. Member engagement, and the engagement of the Board, are key components of making CSA the success it is as an organization. We will be hosting working groups, advocacy summit, and various other initiatives you can get involved with.

I look forward to a wonderful year and working with members, directors, and staff to help shape the future of the college system and post-secondary education as a whole. Let’s together work toward developing strong students, strong leaders, and a strong tomorrow.

Thank you,
