CAMPAIGNS

The College Student Alliance represents students' issues and concerns for the Ontario provincial government, while conducting in-depth research to support policy recommendations.

However, lobbying and accurate research is only effective when students are actively engaged in campaigns to influence the decisions and policies of government.

CSA's campaigns are driven by the active participation of its members in order to raise public awareness of the issues, and to influence government decision-making.

See our campaigns below!

Freeze the fees campaign

Our Campaign

Decades of provincial underfunding have led Public Colleges to heavily rely on increasing International Student tuition.

Currently, international students contribute more in funding ($1.7 billion) to Colleges than the Province ($1.1 billion).

Freeze the Fees is our campaign to call on the province to address rapidly-rising international student fees through immediate action.

Gender equity campaign

Our Campaign

Period poverty is the lack of access to menstrual products, hygiene facilities, and education resources.

It negatively impacts over 491,000 female students currently enrolled in postsecondary education in Ontario.

End Period Poverty is our campaign to call on the province to ensure free menstrual products for all students.

Students first campaign

Our Campaign

The impending Strike Deadline has left many students feeling used, with learning environments disrupted, and future uncertainties.

Currently, College Faculty are set to strike Friday, Mar 18, 2022, which will have a severe impact on student learning, mental health, and academic outcomes.

Students First is our campaign to call on both sides to put students first, and for the Province to act and provide stability for students.
