Dear Students,
I would like to start by saying thank you. Thank you for entrusting me with the role as President of the College Student Alliance (CSA). Thank you for your dedication and determination toward our advocacy initiatives, and thank you for your trust and support.
Over the holidays, my family received news that our unborn child has a heart defect which will require medical attention over the next several months, as well as into the future. This news was devastating to us. As such, I must step away from my role at CSA to take care of my family. I feel this is the best way for CSA to build on the successes of this year, and for me to spend time with my growing family who need me. I wish things were different.
It has been an absolute privilege working with some of the brightest student leaders in Ontario during an incredibly challenging year. It has been my pleasure to get to know all of you and see first-hand your passion for advocacy in post-secondary education. I have no doubt CSA will continue to deliver outstanding services and advocacy work for Ontario college students as you move forward without me. Ariana Chasse will serve as interim president until further notice.
Best of luck to all of you in the future. I look forward to continued friendships and watching CSA thrive from the sidelines.
